{"id":489655,"date":"2025-07-12T00:42:24","date_gmt":"2025-07-11T19:42:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=489655"},"modified":"2025-07-12T00:42:24","modified_gmt":"2025-07-11T19:42:24","slug":"mqm-founder-altaf-hussain-hospitalised-after-severe-illness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/mqm-founder-altaf-hussain-hospitalised-after-severe-illness\/","title":{"rendered":"MQM founder Altaf Hussain hospitalised after severe illness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> LONDON<br \/>\nMuttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder and leader Altaf Hussain has been hospitalised at a North London hospital after developing several complications, including a \u201cstress\u201d on his heart.<br \/>\nHussain\u2019s party officials told Geo News that Hussain was taken to the hospital on Thursday due to severe illness, where various tests were conducted.<br \/>\n\u201cThe doctors decided to admit him to the hospital for further treatment,\u201d said senior London-based MQM leader Mustafa Azizabadi.<br \/>\nQasim Ali Raza, Deputy Convener MQM Central Coordination Committee said on Friday: \u201cToday, doctors at a local hospital in London examined Mr Altaf Hussain, prescribed various diagnostic tests including blood tests, ECG, CT scan, X-ray and ultrasound.<br \/>\nMr Altaf Hussain has long been suffering from severe emotional stress. Doctors also recommended a blood transfusion for his treatment and blood has been transfused.\u201d<br \/>\nHussain was previously admitted to the intensive care unit of the same hospital after contracting Covid-19 in February 2021. He contracted Covid-19 twice in the same year but recovered.<br \/>\nSources said that Hussain was brought to the hospital after an injury on his feet didn\u2019t heal for several days.<br \/>\nThe source said: \u201cHe\u2019s a sugar patient. While he was dealing with this, he started feeling a lot of pressure on his heart, and his colleagues rushed him to the hospital.
