\nPrime Minister\u2019s Coordinator for Information and Broadcasting on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Affairs, Ikhtiar Wali Khan on Saturday came down hard on PTI, accusing it of causing widespread harm to the nation across multiple sectors during its tenure, while lauding the efforts of the PML-N-led government in reviving the economy and restoring Pakistan\u2019s global image through effective diplomacy.
\nIn an exclusive conversation with a local news channel, Ikhtiar Wali Khan strongly criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for mortgaging key national institutions during its tenure.
\nHe said that PTI\u2019s policies not only weakened the country\u2019s economy but also compromised national sovereignty by putting strategic assets at risk.
\nWali further stated that such irresponsible actions reflect the party\u2019s lack of vision and disregard for national interests.
\nHe emphasized that the PML-N-led government is now making serious efforts to rebuild trust with international and neighboring countries, which was severely damaged due to PTI\u2019s confrontational and inconsistent foreign policy.
\nAccording to Wali, strong diplomatic ties are essential for regional peace, economic growth and national security and the current government is fully committed to restoring Pakistan\u2019s credibility on the global stage.
\nWali also highlighted the steps being taken to restore the integrity of state institutions, which, he claimed, were politicized and weakened under PTI\u2019s leadership.
\nHe said the present government believes in strengthening democratic institutions, ensuring transparency and promoting merit-based governance to bring lasting stability and development to the country.
\nHe also criticized Ali Amin Gandapur, accusing him of creating chaos and instability instead of focusing on governance and public welfare.
\nWali said Gandapur\u2019s actions reflect a lack of political maturity and seriousness, which is further damaging the already fragile political environment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
\nHe added that the opposition is united and fully prepared to bring the provincial assembly back in order.
