Swat: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Provincial Deputy General Secretary and former Tehsil Nazim, Fazal ur Rehman Nono, has demanded that the government immediately declare Swat a disaster-hit area following the recent heavy rains and floods that devastated Mingora and other parts of the district. In a press statement, Nono said the calamity had wreaked havoc across Swat, leaving victims in dire circumstances. He urged the federal and provincial governments to take emergency measures for the immediate relief and rehabilitation of flood-affected families.
