Western democracies, in particular, have stood firm in their commitment to free speech, defending the Sikhs\u2019 right to political expression. This has created a critical friction point: while India seeks to extend its repressive reach, democratic nations are compelled to protect the political freedoms of their citizens, exposing India\u2019s activities in the process.

Western courts have consistently rejected India\u2019s extradition requests for referendum leaders, citing a lack of credible evidence and, more critically, the political motivation behind the charges.
