\nProvincial Chairman of the Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao, has said that alleviating the suffering of flood victims should be the government\u2019s foremost priority. He expressed these views while visiting flood-affected areas of Swabi district, where he met bereaved families and interacted with the media.
\nSherpao was accompanied by QWP\u2019s Provincial Joint Secretary Iftikhar Khan Zaida, District Chairman Masood Jabbar, General Secretary Akhtar Yousaf, as well as senior party leaders including Javed Zaman Khan Advocate, Sher Wali Khan, Fayyaz Ali Khan, Sohail Farooq, Ghulam Yousaf, and Saeedullah, along with a large number of party workers.
\nDuring the visit, the QWP leader expressed solidarity with families who lost loved ones in the disaster and assured them of his party\u2019s full support. He said the recent floods and cloudbursts have caused widespread destruction in several districts of the province, resulting in heavy loss of lives and property.
\nCalling the plight of the displaced families a \u201cgreat tragedy,\u201d Sherpao said that the victims are still lying helpless under the open sky. He stressed that the government must mobilize all available resources to ensure their immediate rehabilitation and resettlement.
\n\u201cThis is not the time for politics or number games,\u201d Sherpao said. \u201cIt is the time to serve the victims and heal their suffering.
