\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Advisor Ihtesham Ali has said that merit was being strictly ensured in the health department and the practice of political appointments has been completely eliminated.
\nAddressing the provincial assembly, he said that transparency and competence, not political interference, were the key to improving the health system. For this purpose, placement committees have been formed to oversee recruitment.
\nHealth advisor stated that all appointments are being made through ETEA, where candidates are selected on the basis of computer-based testing and merit lists. \u201cIf we wanted, we could have recruited hundreds of our own people through other agencies, but we chose merit,\u201d he added.
\nMr Ali emphasized that preference is being given to locals within merit criteria and warned that if anyone is proven to have taken a bribe in recruitment, strict action will be taken. He declared that the era of influential figures manipulating appointments is over.
\nHe said Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has directed that merit be ensured in every case so that competent and qualified people are inducted into institutions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
