THATTA: Presidential Award recipient, distinguished historian, researcher, writer, and poet of Sindh, Rasool Bux Tamimi, has strongly criticized the Mukhtiarkar Jati office, accusing it of being transformed into a hub of bribery and corruption. Speaking to journalists, Tamimi lamented that no official work in the office is processed without money, creating serious hardships for citizens approaching the office for their legitimate matters. He revealed that he owns survey land in Deh Dighrayo, Taluka Jati, and for the past three months, he has been making repeated visits for its measurement. \u201cToday, when I once again requested the Mukhtiarkar to carry out the measurement, he mockingly told me: \u2018You always come empty-handed; measurement requires expenses, and you must pay office costs.\u2019\u201d Tamimi said the official, without any fear or hesitation, was openly demanding bribes in front of him. Upon refusing to pay, he was met with rudeness and misbehavior by the Mukhtiarkar. Sindh\u2019s eminent writer and intellectual demanded that higher authorities of the Revenue Department take immediate notice of this injustice and ensure the Mukhtiarkar performs his lawful duties.
