{"id":500730,"date":"2025-09-03T08:52:28","date_gmt":"2025-09-03T03:52:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=500730"},"modified":"2025-09-03T08:52:28","modified_gmt":"2025-09-03T03:52:28","slug":"nestle-sacks-chief-executive-over-relationship-with-subordinate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/nestle-sacks-chief-executive-over-relationship-with-subordinate\/","title":{"rendered":"Nestle sacks chief executive over relationship with subordinate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> NEW YORK<br \/>\nNestle, the Swiss multinational conglomerate and the world\u2019s largest food company, has dismissed its chief executive, Laurent Freixe, over an undisclosed relationship with a subordinate, a breach of the company\u2019s code of conduct, the company said in a news release issued in Zurich on Monday.<br \/>\nFreixe will be replaced by a longtime Nestl\u00e9 executive, Philipp Navratil, it said.<br \/>\nNestle said that Freixe\u2019s dismissal followed an investigation into a romantic relationship he had with a direct subordinate.<br \/>\nIn Pakistan, Nestle has offices &#038; factories spread all over the country, with headoffice in Lahore.<br \/>\nThe release said Freixe\u2019s investigation was overseen by the company\u2019s chairman, Paul Bulcke, with an outside director and counsel.<br \/>\n\u201cThis was a necessary decision,\u201d Bulcke said in a statement.<br \/>\n\u201cNestle\u2019s values and governance are strong foundations of our company. I thank Laurent for his years of service at Nestle.\u201d<br \/>\nNavratil, who replaces Freixe effective immediately, was previously senior vice president and head of the company\u2019s Coffee Strategic Business Unit, overseeing global strategy for the Nescaf\u00e9 and Starbucks brands.
