Association threaten province-wide strike will begin on September 16
\n PESHAWAR
\nLeadership of the All TEVTA Employees Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including President Haris Sultan, Chairman Sohail Ayub, and General Secretary Ijaz, held a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club (PPC), highlighting long-standing issues faced by the employees, including the absence of a service structure, non-transfer of contributory provident fund, and lack of promotion opportunities.
\nPresident Haris Sultan said TEVTA employees have been symbolically protesting since September 1 but continue teaching to ensure students\u2019 education is not disrupted. He revealed that although the contributory provident fund (CP fund) was deducted from employees\u2019 salaries, it was not being deposited into their accounts. He criticized the absence of a proper service structure and failure to implement court orders regarding employee rights. Haris highlighted that there was no system for mandatory promotional training, which was standard in other institutions.
\nHe called for urgent arrangements for such training and the creation of promotion-related vacancies, which have not been announced for the past five years. He further stated that the Board of Governors frequently changes its decisions due to lack of TEVTA representation. He demanded TEVTA\u2019s inclusion in the board to ensure employees\u2019 issues are addressed timely.
\nThe association also raised concerns over the lack of seniority lists for the past eight years, absence of a pension or death allowance for deceased employees, and unavailability of study leave. Demands were made for the upgradation of storekeepers and mail administrators and implementation of Peshawar High Court orders.
