\nJamia Islamia Farooquia in Shakas arranged a day long training on Thursday titled the corporal punishment and physical torture and its harmful effects on children was arranged for teachers at various Islamic seminaries in district Khyber.
\nolOver 300 madrasa teachers and administrators of Khyber district attended the hours long training to adopt modern, non-violent and student-friendly teaching practices.
\nThe training workshop was organized under the auspices of Wafaq-ul-Madaris Al-Arabia and was the first of its kind in the district. A large number of teachers, including those from Hifz (Qur\u2019an memorization) departments, along with principals and administrators of various madrasas, participated in the event.
\nThe session was hosted by Jamia Islamia Farooquia\u2019s chief, Maulana Muhammad Johar, while Mufti Zar Muhammad, deputy in-charge for Khyber district, presided over the proceedings.
\nIn his address, Mufti Zar Muhammad reminded participants that teachers were bound to follow the policies of Wafaq-ul-Madaris and the government, which emphasize soft conduct, compassion and the elimination of corporal punishment in seminaries.
\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa\u2019s Nazim-e-Ala, Maulana Hussain Ahmad, who was the chief guest, said that religious seminaries were often targeted by global propaganda, making it crucial for teachers to remain vigilant. He urged madrasa teachers to adopt the \u201clove, not violence\u201d policy in classrooms, which he described as both a divine command and a government directive. He stressed that isolated violent incidents by irresponsible individuals were tarnishing the reputation of the entire religious education system.
\nAddressing the participants, Maulana Syed Abdul Basir Shah, a member of the central executive council and head of Darul Furqan Al-Kareem, Hayatabad, warned that no teacher or administrator should commit any form of violence in future. \u201cWe must collectively send a message to the world that madrasas were centers of knowledge, politeness and compassion,\u201d he stated.
\nOther speakers, including Qari Zabit Khan, Maulana Qari Saifur Rahman, Maulana Syed Abdul Basir Shah and Maulana Hussain Ahmad, also delivered speeches highlighting the importance of discipline, good manners, and mercy in Islamic education.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
