Chairman Faheem ur Rehman Saigol, Senior Vice Chairman Nasrullah Mughal, and Vice Chairman Tahir Manzoor Chaudhry praised the government\u2019s directive to electricity distribution companies to adjust any payments already made by flood-affected consumers in the upcoming bills. They emphasized that this step provides immediate financial respite to households and enterprises, allowing them to redirect resources toward urgent recovery and rehabilitation efforts. \u201cPIAF commends the federal government for taking decisive action to ease the burden on flood-affected citizens,\u201d Saigol said. \u201cIn times of such unprecedented devastation, halting electricity bills is a practical and compassionate measure that directly benefits millions, from families to small and medium-sized businesses struggling to stay afloat.\u201d The leadership highlighted that the floods have displaced millions of people and caused extensive damage to homes, businesses, farms, and infrastructure. They noted that while the electricity relief is a positive first step, more comprehensive support measures are needed to help communities rebuild and stabilize their livelihoods. Nasrullah Mughal emphasized the importance of ensuring that electricity relief reaches every affected consumer, particularly small businesses and vulnerable households.
