Fazal Moqeem highlights economic impacts, prospects of improving mutual relations in multiple sectors

\nSarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement (SMDA) between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and highlighted its economic impacts and prospects for enhancing mutual economic cooperation between Islamabad and Riyadh.
\nFazal Moqeem Khan, President Abdul Jalil Jan, Senior Vice president, Shehryar Khan, vice president and the whole executive committee of the chamber in a joint statement issued here on Saturday extended congratulations of government, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Gen Asim Munir on a historic defence agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, hailing it as a timely and historic step toward ensuring the collective security and dignity of the Muslim world.
\nThey termed the pact as historic and a milestone for economic, defence as well as enhancing Pakistan geopolitical and regional importance.
\nSCCI said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have always shared historic and fraternal relations, which will now expand significantly under the new agreement.
\nSenior office bearers expressed hope that the much-reverberated Pakistan and Saudi Arabia defence pact in the throughout the Middle East, will foster economic cooperation and strengthen defence ties between the two brotherly Islamic countries.
\nSCCI president Fazal Moqeem Khan said \u201cthis landmark agreement reaffirms the deep-rooted ties of faith, friendship, and fraternity that bind our two brotherly nations.
\nHe stressed the need for formation of a conglomerate to further enhance economic cooperation between Muslim countries.
\nDescribing the pact important from both defence and economic perspectives, Moqeem said it would not only bring the two governments closer but also deliver lasting benefits to their people.
\nHe concluded that the growing strategic ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan would foster development, prosperity, and expanded commercial activity throughout the wider region.
\nSenior office bearer stressed that while the pact centers on defense, its long-term implications include expanded cooperation in trade, investment, education, and industrial growth.
\nSCCI urged Pakistan\u2019s business community to proactively engage with Saudi counterparts to fully capitalize on these prospects.
