\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur conducted a surprise inspection of the Model Meat Processing Plant and Training Center on Charsadda Road, expressing strong displeasure over the facility\u2019s prolonged closure.
\nThe state-of-the-art plant, developed by the Livestock Department and equipped with modern machinery worth crores of rupees, has remained non-functional for the past eight months, said a statement issued from CM secretariat.
\nDuring the visit, the Chief Minister took serious notice of the situation and issued immediate directives to activate the facility by October 15, warning of strict action against responsible officials if the deadline is not met.
\n\u201cThe public has a right to benefit from such projects. Public funds have been invested in this plant, and their benefits must reach the people without delay,\u201d he said.
\nThe statement read that CM Gandapur instructed authorities to begin registration for training programs at the center without further delay. He also ordered the operationalization of the model meat shop and emphasized launching international-standard certification programs at the center.
\nFurthermore, the Chief Minister directed the Livestock Department to replicate the model in other districts by attracting private investment and forming public-private partnerships for long-term sustainability.
\n\u201cThis should serve as a warning, other public service centers lying inactive will also be inspected through sudden visits,\u201d he warned, adding that non-performing units would face similar accountability.
