\nThis unprecedented pact is designed to promote peace, stability and unity. It has delivered an effective message for much-needed solidarity to safeguard the core interests of the Ummah. This bilateral agreement should be taken as a model for Muslim solidarity. Leadership of Muslim countries should understand the importance of cooperation and collective actions in tackling the major challenges being confronted.
\nAfghanistan, as a Muslim brother country, can learn from this model by choosing cooperation with neighbours over issues affecting mutual interests. The presence of terrorist groups in Afghanistan is endangering the regional peace. Strong concerns expressed frequently from the Pakistan side are getting endorsements from international watchdogs and neighbouring countries sharing borders with Afghanistan. The number of UN Security Council reports pointed out the establishment of terrorist camps inside Afghanistan by Al-Qaeda, ISKP and TTP. Unfortunately, the interim Afghan government under the control of the Taliban could not yet effectively respond to such accusatory reports. Denial on the part of the Afghan Taliban is neither beneficial for terror-infected Afghanistan nor serves any purpose for the affected neighbours. It is more than obvious that the banned TTP, its splinter groups and all ideological allies are striving hard to destabilise Pakistan. The pattern of terrorist attacks on law enforcement agencies, military and paramilitary troops have indicated a sharp similarity of objectives between religiously motivated extremist banned terrorist outfits and ethnically charged separatist terrorist groups.
\nThe web of terrorism woven jointly by the banned TTP and its well-wishers in TTA is neither good for regional peace nor affordable for the ruling regime of Afghanistan. Patrons of TTP hidden in the files of TTA are severely hurting the bilateral ties with Pakistan and also spoiling the already tainted profile of the ruling regime, which has zero recognition internationally. The spirit of the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia pact underscores that true strength lies in unity, not intra-Muslim conflict. By engaging constructively with regional partners, Kabul can contribute positively to shared security and Muslim solidarity.
\nThis approach can help Afghanistan overcome its internal rivalries and policies that fuel conflict, ultimately weakening the Muslim world and eroding collective dignity. Though the agreement between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan is bilateral and defensive in nature, it is a beacon of hope for the Muslim world. It exhibits that by working together, Muslim countries can solve their differences and achieve common goals.
