\nThe Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce, His Excellency Mr. Ihsaan Afzal Khan, concluded a productive visit to Bangladesh, where he held a series of high-level engagements with chambers, businesses, and financial institutions aimed at deepening bilateral trade and investment cooperation.
\nMr. Khan attended a networking session jointly organized by the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI). He met with DCCI President Mr. Taskeen Ahmed and board members, with discussions focused on unlocking new opportunities in pharmaceuticals, automotive, and minerals. Both sides emphasized the importance of building a comprehensive business environment and following up on initiatives launched during the visit of Pakistan\u2019s Minister for Commerce.
\nLater, at a dinner hosted by Mr. Muhammad Wasif, Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires a.i., High Commission for Pakistan, Dhaka, Mr. Khan met with senior representatives from the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association, and other trade organizations. The discussions centered on fostering mutual cooperation in trade and investment and encouraging greater private-sector linkages.
\nThe Coordinator also visited the National Bank of Pakistan in Dhaka, where he discussed banking sector collaboration and operational support for businesses with Country Director Mr. Mohammad Quamruzzaman and Deputy General Manager Mr. Jawad Raza Naqvi.
\nDuring a visit to Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd.\u2019s Dhamrai facility, Mr. Khan reviewed potential areas of collaboration between Bangladeshi and Pakistani pharmaceutical companies.
\nConcluding his trip, Mr. Khan attended the certificate distribution ceremony of the Made in Pakistan Exhibition. He praised the exhibitors and the Pakistan Association of Exhibition Industry for showcasing Pakistani products, expressed gratitude to the Bangladeshi government for its support, and invited reciprocal participation in Pakistan\u2019s upcoming Food and Agriculture Exhibition in Karachi.
