\nHamza Foundation Welfare Thalassemia Hospital and Blood Transfusion Services, Peshawar, successfully organized a one-day blood donation camp at Government Degree College (GDC) Tangi, Charsadda. The camp was made possible with the kind cooperation and support of the Principal, Muhammad Idrees Sahib, who extended full assistance in facilitating this noble cause.
\nDuring the camp, 40 healthy volunteer blood donors came forward and donated their precious blood. These contributions are of immense importance, as the donated 40 bags of blood will be utilized for the treatment and care of 1,537 children suffering from Thalassemia Major and other life-threatening blood disorders.
\nThalassemia Major is a hereditary blood disease that requires patients to undergo regular blood transfusions throughout their lives. Thousands of children across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are battling this illness, and organizations like Hamza Foundation have been working tirelessly to ensure a steady supply of safe and healthy blood for these children.
\nSpeaking on the occasion, representatives of Hamza Foundation expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the principal, faculty, students, and all the volunteer donors who contributed to the success of this life-saving initiative. They emphasized that blood donation is not only a noble act of kindness but also a vital lifeline for countless patients who depend on regular transfusions for survival.
\nHamza Foundation further appealed to the public, especially the youth, to continue participating in blood donation drives. \u201cEvery single bag of blood can save multiple lives. Today\u2019s effort by the students and volunteers of GDC Tangi has set an inspiring example for others to follow,\u201d said a spokesperson of the Foundation.
