A delegation of the Pakistan Romania Business Council (PRBC) met Commissioner Karachi, Syed Hassan Naqvi, to discuss ways of expanding economic cooperation and building stronger ties between Pakistan and Romania.
\nThe delegation included PRBC Chairman Sohail Shamim Firpo, Advisor and Chief Operating Officer Atif Farooqi, and Regional Lead for Sindh, Jatin Kumar, said a PRBC press release.
\nDuring the meeting, both sides highlighted the importance of strengthening trade links and encouraging people-to-people exchanges to support long-term cooperation.
\nCommissioner Naqvi welcomed the initiative and underlined the role of city administration in facilitating business relations that contribute to growth and international collaboration.
\nDiscussions also touched on creating opportunities in trade, investment, and cultural exchange, reflecting the shared interests of both nations.
\nPRBC Advisor and COO Atif Farooqi expressed appreciation for the support extended by Romania\u2019s Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Dan Stoenescu. He credited the Ambassador\u2019s efforts for laying the groundwork to enhance bilateral relations and promote trade. \u201cHis commitment has been a source of motivation for us, and we are proud to work alongside the Romanian Embassy in opening new avenues for cooperation,\u201d he said.
\nThe meeting further emphasized that closer interaction between Pakistani and Romanian business communities could play a vital role in diversifying markets, introducing new technologies, and expanding cultural understanding. The PRBC delegation noted that the council remains committed to working with government institutions to ensure that initiatives taken at the diplomatic level are translated into practical opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors.
\nCommissioner Naqvi acknowledged the role of the PRBC in creating a bridge between the private sector and official channels. He assured support from the city administration in facilitating exchanges that benefit both economies.
\nThe discussions concluded with agreement on the importance of continuing dialogue to sustain progress in bilateral relations. The delegation reaffirmed its resolve to organize activities that would connect businesses, promote trade missions, and encourage joint ventures, particularly in sectors with growth potential.
