\nThe provincial department Culture, Tourism, Archaeology and Museums has launched an extensive operation against encroachments and illegal constructions across various tourist destinations of the province. A statement issued here stated that the operation was part of the government\u2019s efforts to improve tourism infrastructure in line with the Good Governance Roadmap of the Chief Secretary, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
\nAccording to details, the Galiyat Development Authority (GDA), in collaboration with the District Administration Abbottabad, carried out a large-scale operation in Kundla, Tauheedabad, Ayubia, and Khanaspur. The operation was led by GDA Enforcement Officer Wasif Mir, accompanied by Additional Assistant Commissioner Shameemullah Khan, DSP Galiyat Imtiaz Ali, and officials of the Building Control Authority.
\nDuring the operation, more than 20 additional commercial buildings were sealed.
\nThese properties were sealed as their owners neither possessed officially approved building plans from the Authority nor had their land legally registered with the GDA. Director General of the Galiyat Development Authority, Shahrukh Ali, reaffirmed on this occasion:
\n\u201cOperations against illegal constructions will continue indiscriminately to ensure the preservation of Galiyat\u2019s natural beauty and ecological balance.\u201d
\nProvincial Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Archaeology, Fazal Shakoor, reiterated the government\u2019s commitment, stating:
\n\u201cEliminating illegal constructions across all tourist destinations of the province was among our top priorities.
\nSecretary Tourism, Dr Abdul Samad, also emphasized that the recent measures of the Galiyat Development Authority are fully aligned with government policies, aimed at promoting regulated constructions, safeguarding the environment, and preserving the natural charm of Galiyat.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
