MUZAFFARABAD\/ISLAMABAD
\nFederal government has accepted all demands of Awami Action Committee (AAC) and the protest has been ended and normalcy has returned in Azad Kashmir.
\nAfter two days prolonged negotiations, federal government negotiation committee and AK government and Joint Action Committee of Azad Jammu and Kashmir have signed historical agreement to settle all issues.
\nA committee has also been constituted for the implementation of this agreement.
\nWelcoming the agreement Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has termed it a big success for Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
\nHe said conspiracies and rumors have died and all the matters have been resolved amicably.
\nAn important movement forward has come to open after protest and tension continuing in Azad Kashmir since several days . Talks between government of Pakistan, Azad Kashmir government and AAC have succeeded and historical agreement has been reached.
\nThese talks were held under the directive of PM Shehbaz Sharif. Talks were presided over by Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.
\nFederal ministers Rana Sana Ullah, Ahsan Iqbal, Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry , engineer Amir Muqam and Qamar Zaman Kaira represented federal government,
\nFaisal Mumtaz Rathore and Diwan Ali Chughtai appeared on behalf of AJK government.
\nRaja Amjid, Shaukat Nawaz Mir and Anjum Zaman represented AAC.
\nA high level monitoring and implementation committee has been constituted to ensure implementation of agreement.
\nThe committee will be headed by federal minister for Kashmir affairs, Engineer Amir Muqam. Representatives of Azad Kashmir government and AAC will also be included in the committee.
\nThis committee will be responsible for implementation of decisions and resolution of likely disputes.
\nAs per important points of agreement, this agreement contains 12 basic and 13 additional points.
\nThe family members of those who were killed in October 01 and 02 incidents will be provided government job and the compensation equal to security personnel. Rs 10 lac will be paid to those who were injured.
\nA judicial commission will be constituted to probe into violent incidents.
\nTwo new education boards will be established in Muzaffarabad and Poonch. They will be affiliated with federal board Islamabad.
\nPossession of land will be given to affectees of Mangla Dam expansion project within 30 days.
\nAmendments will be made in local government act-1990 within 90 days.
\nAzad Kashmir government will provide funds for health cards within 15 days. MRI and CT Scan machine will be provided in every district.
\nPakistan government will provide Rs 10 billion for improvement in electricity system in Azad Kashmir.
\nVolume of Azad Kashmir cabinet will be limited to 20 ministers and advisors while number of secretaries will also not exceed 20.
\nEhtesab Bureau and Anti Corruption will be merged and harmonized to NAB law.
\nA feasibility for two tunnels will be worked out on Kahori, Kamesar and Chapple -Neelum road.
\nA high level committee will be constituted on the matter of refugees members of assembly. Their perks and privileges will remain suspended till final report.
\nKashmiri demonstrators who were arrested during October 2 and 3 will be released.
\n13 additional clauses are also included in the agreement. They include assigning the Banjosa, Muzaffarabad, Palandri, Dhir Kot, Mir pur and Rawla kot incidents to judicial commission. setting the time frame for Mirpur international airport project, equating the tax on transfer of property with Punjab and KP, completing feasibility of major water supply projects, establishing operation theatres and nurseries in Tehsil headquarters hospitals and construction of bridges.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
