\nA rally in favor of forces was held at Bacha Khan Chawk, Landi Kotal Bazaar on Sunday.
\nLed by All Torkham Clearing Agents Association President Mujib Shinwari and former Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Wilson Wazir, scores of locals from various walks of life participated in it.
\nAddressing on the occasion Mujib Shinwari said that Pakistan is our priority and after it we will value other activities.
\nHe suggested that all issues between the two neighboring countries must be solved through dialog as fighting cannot be a solution for any dispute.
\nWar and fighting have suffered traders and other people of the both countries therefore time has come to settle all issues with mutual understanding, he remarked.
\nWelson Wazir paid tribute to the sacrifices of the security forces and said they laid down their lives to secure the future of our children.
\nHe maintained that for the last few months, the Afghan forces repeatedly violated the international border rules by attacking some times in Bajaur, Khyber, Kurram and Waziristan.
\nHowever, he said hospitality has been granted to millions of Afghans besides Pakistan always respects and upholds sovereignty of Afghanistan.
\nPakistan always assists Afghanistan to stand on its strong footings but ironically, Afghanistan has never spared an opportunity to hitch a conspiracy with support of our enemy that is unfair.
\nHe urged the both governments to seek a solution to the dispute through table talks.
\nMeanwhile, the Torkham border remained suspended for all kinds of movement, border security forces officials informed on Sunday.
\nThey said that last night, the Afghan forces opened indiscriminate firing on the positions of Pak security forces that was effectively retaliated.
\nHigh alert was announced in Torkham and the export, import terminal has been vacated of all vehicles loaded with merchandise goods to avoid any untoward incident, officials said.
\nAs per the Pakistan Television, Afghan forces carried out unprovoked firing in Angoor Adda, Khyber, Bajaur, Kurrum, Dir Chitral and Bahram Chah of Baluchistan along the Pak-Afghan border.
