The people of Rawalpindi have expressed rich tribute and admiration for 23 brave soldiers of the armed forces who laid down their lives in defence of the nation during unprovoked firing by Afghan Taliban militants and Indian-sponsored terrorists along the border.
\nIn a heartfelt show of solidarity, the general public hailed the supreme sacrifices of our brave soldiers as a beacon of courage and patriotism.
\nTalking with APP, the citizens from various walks of life said that the valour soldiers who embraced martyrdom while safeguarding the homeland have set an enduring example of bravery and selflessness.
\nCitizens across Rawalpindi expressed their deepest respect for the shuhada and offered prayers for the swift recovery of the injured personnel.
\nRaja Babar, a freight trader from Rawalpindi, said that the brave sons of the soil remind us that true strength lies in defending our homeland without hesitation.<\/p>\n
\u201cTheir legacy will inspire the generations to come\u201d, he added.
\n Amjad Zeb, an educationist, said that the sacrifices of these heroes teach our youth the value of unity and resilience.
\n\u201cWe must honour them by building a stronger and more secure Pakistan\u201d, Amjad said.
\nMalik Zulfiqar, a socio-politician, emphasized that in the face of such adversity, our nation\u2019s spirit remains unbroken as these martyrs are the pillars of our sovereignty.
\nProfound condolences and sympathies have been extended to the bereaved families, assuring them of the nation\u2019s unwavering support during this time of grief.
\nMisbah Tahir, a school teacher and said that during a decisive response to Indian sponsored terrorists and the beginning retaliation against the Khawarij groups, Pakistan\u2019s armed forces struck back with precision, eliminating above 200 Afghan Taliban fighters.
\nUzma Tahir, a house lady, observed that the courageous troops of the Pakistan Army not only neutralized the immediate threat but also thwarted the notorious designs of the adversaries.
\nPeople also expressed their emotions and said that they would remain shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces till the complete elimination of the Indian splinter groups operating from Afghan soil.
