\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has termed the election of the new Chief Minister as \u201cunconstitutional\u201d, stating that until the resignation of former CM Ali Amin Gandapur was officially accepted, the election process remains invalid.
\nHe emphasized that accepting the resignation was his constitutional right and urged Ali Amin to meet him on Wednesday, promising to personally accept the resignation then.
\nThe Governor raised concerns over discrepancies in the resignation letters, noting that two copies received from Ali Amin Gandapur bore different signatures, which added to his hesitation.
\nMeanwhile, opposition leader Dr. Ibadullah announced plans to challenge Muhammad Sohail Afridi\u2019s election in court.
\nHe said the opposition initially believed Ali Amin\u2019s resignation had been accepted, which led to the nomination of candidates. However, with the resignation still unconfirmed, the opposition contends that the election was unconstitutional.
\nDespite the opposition\u2019s boycott, Muhammad Sohail Afridi was elected as the new Chief Minister of KP in the assembly session.

\nFormer Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur reaffirmed his unwavering support for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, describing him as a leader fighting for the future of the nation\u2019s children.
\nSpeaking in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Gandapur emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law, lamenting what he called the ongoing mockery of democracy in the country.
\nHe highlighted the province\u2019s strong financial position, noting that billions remain in the treasury even after salaries have been disbursed.
