\nThe courageous tribesmen of Bajaur staged a strong protest against Afghan aggression and held a large rally in Civil Colony, Khar to express solidarity with the Pakistan Army. A large number of tribal elders, local notables, government officials, youth, and members of civil society participated in the rally.
\nThe participants raised slogans of \u201cLong Live Pakistan Army,\u201d \u201cPakistan Zindabad,\u201d and \u201cNo to Afghan Aggression,\u201d strongly condemning the recent attacks from across the border.
\nAddressing the rally, Malik Bahadar Shah, Malik Sultan Yar, Malik Fazal Rabi, Deputy Commissioner Shahid Ali, Assistant Commissioner Dr. Sadiq Ali, and other elders urged Afghanistan to respect Pakistan\u2019s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
\nThe speakers said that Pakistan and Afghanistan share deep Islamic and fraternal ties, and therefore, both nations should stand united instead of opposing each other. They demanded that Afghanistan cease all attacks on Pakistan allegedly carried out at the behest of India or any external powers, warning that such actions pose a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
\nTribal elders expressed grief over the attacks, calling them highly regrettable and intolerable, especially when innocent children, women, and the elderly are targeted. They said that as an Islamic country, such actions were not expected from Afghanistan, adding that last night\u2019s attack was a grave mistake.
\nThe speakers reminded that the people of Bajaur are the same who endured hardships as IDPs during the war on terror, yet remain full of love and loyalty for their homeland.
\nParticipants warned that any repetition of such aggression in the future would not be tolerated.
