Spinners Noman Ali and Sajid Khan shared nine wickets between them as South Africa were bundled out for 269 runs, conceding first innings lead of 109 runs to Pakistan\u2019s 378 runs in the first session of the third day at the Gaddafi stadium here on Tuesday morning.
\nNoman Ali 6-112 matched Senuran Muthusamy\u2019s heroics for South Africa the other morning and Sajid Khan 3-98 picked three wickets while part-timer Salman Agha claimed one wicket for 24 runs.
\nTony de Zorzi 104 (171) scored a stoic century for South Africa. He started his innings at the overnight score of 81 and added 23 runs before he was caught by Shaheen Shah Afridi off Noman Ali. Zorzi was the man of crisis for the Proteas as he came to the crease with team total at 80 but with the fall of seventh wicket of Muthusamy 11 (34) at 228 he decided to score quickly and went on to bring up his second century. His innings included 10 boundaries<\/p>\n
Ryan Rickelton 71 (137) was the other highest scorer for South Africa as he hit nine boundaries and two 6s before he fell to a brilliant low dying catch in the slips by Babar Azam in the slip off Salman Agha. Both the batters built a 94-run partnership for the third wicket. the third wicket as they had taken the team away from the scare of follow-on. The other significant partnership was of 45 runs for the first wicket between Ryle Rickleton and stand-in-captain Aiden Markram 20 (37).
\nPrenelan Subrayen scored 4 (11) while Kagiso Rabada 0 (9) could not score a run. Simon Harmer returned unbeaten on 19.
\nOn the second day, Rickelton\u2019s dismissal had proved vital as South Africa lost their way somewhat by the end of the day. Explosive Dewald Brevis fell without scoring to an excellent ball from Sajid Khan while Tristan Stubbs 8 (7) lost his wicket early. Kyle Verreynne also became victim of superb ball from Noman Ali.
\nAt lunch, Pakistan, in their second innings, reached 36-2 as Abdullah Shafique and Babar Azam were unbeaten on 21 (47) and 1 (4). Imam ul Haq 0 (2) and captain Shan Masood 7 (17) were the two wickets which fell before lunch.
\nBoth the wickets were bagged by Simon Harmer 5-2-13-2 while Kagiso Rabada bowled impressive spell but remained wicketless.
