According to the details, the authority inspected 90 food points, milk shops, and meat shops, including 48 milk trucks, and imposed fines on several establishments for flouting food safety laws. The inspections revealed poor cleaning and storage arrangements, absence of medical certificates for employees, and other serious violations, resulting in fines totaling Rs 69,000. During the operation, PFA officials also collected milk samples, which tested defective in several cases, leading to further penalties. Additionally, 1 kg of expired and prohibited items were confiscated and destroyed.
