\nSindh Minister for Health and Population Welfare, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, chaired a meeting regarding health-related issues at Darbar Hall Saturday,
\nAddressing the meeting, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho said that providing quality healthcare facilities to the people of Sindh is top priority of the provincial government. Minister emphasized that health officials must ensure the availability of adequate medical services at all health centers and warned that negligence in this regard would not be tolerated.
\nMinister directed pDeputy Commissioner, SSP, and officials of Sindh Healthcare Commission, Naushahro Feroze, to initiate immediate action against illegal laboratories, canola centers, blood banks and private medical centers operating in the district.
\nDr. Pechuho instructed that screening for HIV\/AIDS be carried out in all health centers and in the District Jail of Naushahro Feroze. She directed District Health Officer to inspect all private medical centers to verify the sources of blood bottles being used. She added that all such centers must be made bound to obtain blood bags from the Regional Blood Center only.
\nMinister also directed district administration and health officials of Shaheed Benazirabad and Naushahro Feroze to organize awareness programs to educate public about the prevention of AIDS. She remarked that human life is invaluable and irreplaceable and no one would be allowed to play with human lives.
\nDuring the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Naushahro Feroze Muhammad Arsalan Saleem and officials from the Health Department briefed the minister on the available healthcare facilities. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Abdul Samad Nizamani, SSP Naushahro Feroze Rohail Khoso, District Health Officer Dr. Mudasir Hussain, Medical Superintendent of PMC Hospital Dr. Yar Ali Jamali, and other departmental officers.
\nLater Minister visited People\u2019s Medical Hospital, Nawabshah. She visited ICU and various wards to inquire about the condition of admitted patients.
\nDr. Pechuho instructed Medical Superintendent to ensure the provision of quality medical care to all patients. She also visited the under-construction hospital building, where Executive Engineer, Provincial Building Health Hyderabad, briefed her on the ongoing construction work. Minister directed concerned officials to expedite the completion of the building so that patients could benefit from improved healthcare facilities.
