Voiced over delay in issuance of Form-K despite granting NOC, Call for serious action against the rising number of \u2018Dabba\u2019 stations, SCCI chief promises to resolve all petroleum sector issues on priority basis

\nPetrol pump filling stations owners and dealers asked the government to increase their profit margin to 5 percent or Rs12 to 15 per litre on the sale of the major petroleum products while keeping in view increasing expenditures, cost of doing business and heavily-imposed federal and provincial taxes.
\nThey expressed grave concern over delay in issuance of \u2018Form-K\u2019 despite granting No-objection certificate (NOC) and called relevant authorities to take serious notice and to address the issue amicably.
\nPetrol pump owners and dealers condemned illegal actions of district administration, Labour and other relevant departments, and granting unprecedented powers to officials concerned that were creating unpleasant atmosphere, confrontation and harassment, and nurturing a culture of bribery and imposing heavy fines on various pretext.
\nThey stressed policy, regulatory changes and enforcement of business-friendly policies.
\nPetrol pump owners continued to object to the rise of \u2018Dabba\u2019 filling stations and informed that the number of these illegal stations has crossed to 400 in Peshawar and called for serious actions against \u2018Dabba\u2019 stations to protect legal business of petroleum and prevent the huge financial losses.
\nThese issues were highlighted by a delegation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Petroleum Dealers and Cartridge Association (KPPDCA), led by its chairman Gul Nawaz Afridi during a meeting with President of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Junaid Altaf here at the chamber.
\nDelegation consisted of former president SCCI and Pattern in Chief of the Association Engr Maqsood Anwar Pervaiz, former chairman Abdul Majid, General Secretary Behzad Rehman, Secretary Khalid Khan, pumps owners, dealers and representatives of stakeholders.
\nMeeting attended by SCCI senior vice president Muhammad Nadeem, vice president Sabir Ahmad Bangash, Secretary General SCCI Muqtasid Ahsan and others.
\nJunaid Altaf disclosed SCCI is working on a comprehensive roadmap to boost business and trade activities across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
\nHe added the chamber has initiated serious efforts to provide relief and special incentives and claimed a positive change will come within the next three to four months and businessmen would feel proud that they are members of this chamber.
\nSCCI chief disclosed a state of art, one window operation centre will be inaugurated shortly at the chamber house so that members will provide multiple facilities under a single roof and he credited this initiative to Leader of Businessman Forum Ghazanfar Bilour, rest of leadership and former president Fazal Moqeem Khan.
\nJunaid Altaf assured to take up all issues of Petroleum sector with relevant provincial government departments and would make all out efforts to resolve them on priority basis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
