Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, Engr Amir Muqam, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Kashmiri nation on the occasion of the 78th Founding Day.
\nThe minister paid rich tribute to the founding leaders of the Kashmiri nation and lauded their historic struggle for freedom and self-determination, said a press release.
\nMuqam also paid homage to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the liberation of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). He acknowledged the brave people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for their unwavering support to the Kashmiris during the freedom struggle. \u201cThe people of Pakistan and Kashmir are bound together as one soul in two bodies,\u201d he said.
\nHe reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue to extend its political, diplomatic, and moral support to the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for self-determination.
\nMuqam strongly condemned India\u2019s brutal and illegal occupation of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and denounced the grave human rights violations being committed by the Indian forces in the region.
\nThe minister paid glowing tribute to the great martyrs of the Kashmir freedom movement and demanded the immediate release of detained Hurriyat leaders.
\n\u201cPakistan is vigorously presenting the case of the Kashmiri people at every international forum,\u201d he emphasized, reiterating that the struggle will continue until the Kashmiri people achieve complete freedom from India\u2019s unlawful occupation.<\/p>\n
