\nAmeer Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab Dr. Tariq Saleem has emphasized that the establishment of a unified education system with one curriculum and one language is essential for the country\u2019s development and nation-building.
\nHe said that despite having abundant resources, Pakistan\u2019s education sector continues to be neglected by those in power, leaving the future of millions of children uncertain.
\nSpeaking at the Banu Qabal Entry Test event in Gujrat, organized under the auspices of Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan, Dr. Saleem said that through the Banu Qabal program, two million youth across the country will receive free IT training to enhance their employability. Thousands of students appeared for the entry test for admission to these free IT courses.
\nDr. Tariq Saleem lamented that education and employment opportunities remain inaccessible to many of the youth, with over three crore children out of school and only twelve percent pursuing higher education after primary school.
\nHe criticized the commercialization of education, stating that rising fees have turned learning into a business, depriving underprivileged families of the right to education. He added that around sixty percent of Pakistan\u2019s population comprises youth, yet their potential remains untapped due to the government\u2019s negligence.
\n\u201cOur youth are being disappointed, and the doors of opportunity are being closed on them. We must reverse this trend through a fair, merit-based, and accessible education system,\u201d he said.
\nCalling upon the youth, Dr. Tariq Saleem urged them to participate in the upcoming public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore, on November 21\u201323, where Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman will outline a comprehensive plan of action for the nation\u2019s future.
\n\u201cThe youth should not be disheartened by the current situation. Instead, they must rise together with Jamaat-e-Islami to transform Pakistan into a true Islamic welfare state,\u201d he stated. With the power of the youth and their votes, we can change the oppressive system imposed on this nation.
\nThe event was also addressed by Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Gujrat Ansar Mahmood Dhoul, Advocate and Secretary General Al-Khidmat Foundation, and Waqas Anjum Jafri, who highlighted the organization\u2019s ongoing efforts to promote education, skill development, and youth empowerment across the country.
