ISLAMABAD
\nThe National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) successfully concluded its annual Convocation Week on Monday, celebrating the academic achievements of a new cohort of graduates.
\nDuring the convocation week, as many as 5,736 graduates from all NUST schools received their UG, MS and PhD degrees in the seven core disciplines of Engineering and Technology, Computing and Information Technology, Life Sciences and Medicine, Arts and Humanities, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and Business and Management.
\nThe convocation week was inaugurated by the Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Khalid Hussain Magsi, who graced the Master Convocation Ceremony as the chief guest.
\nDuring the event, he presented medals to high-achieving graduates and delivered an inspiring address to the gathering.
\nIn his speech, Khalid Magsi extended his heartiest felicitations to the graduates, their parents, and the faculty. Emphasising the importance of education, he stated that the graduates had the privilege of pursuing their higher studies at one of the finest institutions in the country.
\nSharing a few life lessons, he remarked that Allah Almighty has blessed us with a great country, and we must do everything in our capacity to contribute to its growth and progress.
\nEarlier, in his welcome address, Rector NUST, Dr. Muhammad Zahid Latif, congratulated the graduates, their parents and the faculty. He said that convocation day marks not just the end of an academic chapter but also the beginning of countless possibilities.
\nReflecting on the fast-paced evolution of NUST over more than three decades since its inception, Rector said that the university has become a place where curiosity fuels innovation, ideas flourish and young people learn not only how to excel but also how to serve.
\nAddressing the graduates, Rector NUST, Dr. Zahid Latif said, \u201cThe degrees you receive today are not just symbols of academic excellence; these are added responsibilities, and a call to use your talent for your own good, for the good of your families, for societal contributions and above all, for our beloved country, Pakistan and the countries which our international students come from.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
