\nSpecial Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production, Haroon Akhtar Khan here on Wednesday underscored the need for strengthening local production and technological collaboration in the agricultural machinery sector.
\nHe highlighted this need during a meeting with LiuGong Agricultural Machinery CEO Frank Wang and leading tractor manufacturers.
\nThe meeting focused on the introduction of modern tractor technology, sugarcane harvesting machinery, and the promotion of local manufacturing of agricultural equipment in Pakistan.
\nFrank Wang briefed the participants about LiuGong\u2019s operations, stating that the company manufactures heavy machinery including cranes, loaders, excavators, tractors, and bulldozers.
\nHe added that LiuGong also provides training to its partners in the fields of agricultural machinery, sugarcane harvesting, and modern technology.
\nHaroon Akhtar Khan emphasized the importance of joint venture partnerships between Pakistani tractor manufacturers and LiuGong to enhance local production capacity and technological exchange.
\nHe said that bringing together modern technology, agriculture, and the local manufacturing sector was the need of the hour.
\nHe further noted that local production of agricultural machinery would create employment opportunities and help open new avenues for export.
