A delegation from the 27th National Security Workshop visited the National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC) at the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Headquarters, on Thursday where they received an in-depth briefing on Pakistan\u2019s proactive and integrated disaster management framework.
\nNDMA officials elaborated on the Authority\u2019s mandate, organizational structure, and its nationwide framework for disaster risk reduction, preparedness, and response.
\nParticipants were also briefed on NEOC\u2019s round-the-clock monitoring and coordination functions, including real-time data sharing, early warning dissemination, and inter-agency collaboration for effective national-level emergency management.
\nNDMA experts highlighted that NEOC\u2019s state-of-the-art monitoring and forecasting systems enable timely communication of early warnings to relevant departments, ensuring swift preventive and preparedness actions.<\/p>\n
The team further explained NDMA\u2019s use of technology-driven tools and centralized coordination mechanisms to strengthen planning, risk communication, and operational readiness during events such as Monsoon 2025.
\nThe visiting delegation appreciated NDMA\u2019s forward-looking strategy and commitment to enhancing Pakistan\u2019s disaster resilience through anticipatory planning and coordinated response mechanisms.
