Pakistan says Kabul justified inaction despite confirming existence of militant outfits

\nForeign Office (FO) has said Pakistan participated in talks with positive spirit and serious attitude adding we don\u2019t want escalation. \u201c Our stance is very clear. Afghan soil should not be used for terrorism at any cost. Infiltration be stopped. Violation of ceasefire by Israel is strongly condemnable. This step has dealt a serious blow to efforts for peace. We are reviewing minutely the impact of defence pact of US and India on the region. Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrani said this in weekly press here Friday.
\nHe went on to say second round of talks concluded in Istanbul. Pakistan has demanded of Afghan authorities to take solid and verifiable steps against terrorists groups. The spokesperson said Pakistan has been providing to Afghan authorities credible information regarding presence of terrorists organizations since the last four years. But attacks from Afghanistan side have surged despite repeated assurances. Unprovoked attacks were made on Pakistani territories from Afghan soil in October. Pakistan gave forceful response. He added Pakistan is in constant contact with Afghan Taliban authorities since last four years. He observed Pakistan is pursuing the attitude of cautious hope. Although we are not extremely hopeful but upholding hope in diplomacy is a professional requirement because hope is basic ingredient of our diplomatic process.
\nHe said Pakistan is continuing constructive negotiations with Afghan authorities. Peace and stability are being given top priority in this process.
\nThe spokesperson made it clear Pakistan wants peace. But it will take every possible step for its sovereignty and protection of its people. He said next round of talks is expected on November 6 and Pakistan hopes for positive results. He held Afghan Taliban government has acknowledged presence of TTP and other terrorists organizations but different justifications are being given for not initiating any action against them.

\nHe said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, accompanied by a high-level delegation, visited Saudi Arabia and attended the Future Investment Initiative Conference in Riyadh.
\nThe prime minister also met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, while Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar held an important meeting with the Saudi Defense Minister.
\nHe also had telephonic discussions with foreign ministers of various countries regarding bilateral relations and investment opportunities.
\nPakistan is abiding by principles of peace, mutual respect and peaceful resolution of conflicts in the region. All the steps are being taken under this policy, he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
