\nDeputy Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Sayedaal Khan Nasir, Saturday said that the ITF Pakistan Ali Embroidery Mills International Junior Tennis Championship not only marked the conclusion of a successful sporting event but also reflected the courage, determination, and global aspirations of Pakistan\u2019s youth.
\nAddressing the closing ceremony of the championship, Sayedaal Khan Nasir paid rich tribute to Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, President of the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), lauding his efforts to promote tennis in Pakistan and to bring honour to the country on the international stage.
\nThe event, hosted by the Pakistan Tennis Federation, was attended by renowned players, coaches, parents, and a large number of emerging tennis talents from across the country.
\nThe Deputy Chairman commended Aisam-ul-Haq\u2019s leadership for taking valuable initiatives to strengthen tennis from the grassroots to the global level.
\nHe also appreciated former PTF President Salim Saifullah Khan for his visionary leadership, discipline, and institutional approach, saying that his contributions gave a new identity to the Federation.
\n\u201cIt is a remarkable achievement that under his leadership, the Pakistan Tennis Federation advanced from Group C to Group A in international rankings \u2014 a historic milestone,\u201d he noted.
\nSayedaal Khan Nasir said this progress mirrors the immense potential, enthusiasm, and resolve of Pakistan\u2019s youth.
\nHe reaffirmed that the government and parliament remain committed to promoting sports through institutional collaboration, improved infrastructure, and expanded opportunities for young athletes.
\nExpressing delight over the participation of players from Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, South Punjab, and Sindh, he termed it a promising sign of inclusive sports development in the country.
\nAppreciating the government\u2019s initiatives for sports promotion, he assured full support from the Parliament for future efforts in this regard.
\n\u201cSports play a vital role in nation-building by fostering tolerance, integrity, discipline, and self-confidence among the youth,\u201d he said, emphasizing that sports are no longer limited to entertainment but have become a powerful means of economic growth, diplomacy, and national identity.
\nHe highlighted that Pakistani youth continue to raise the national flag high across the world through outstanding performances in cricket, squash, hockey, and tennis.
\nAddressing the young athletes, Sayedaal Khan Nasir said, \u201cYou are not just representatives of your sport \u2014 you are the ambassadors of Pakistan\u2019s identity and future. Your success is Pakistan\u2019s success.\u201d
\nHe expressed confidence that the Pakistan Tennis Federation, with its professional commitment and dedication, would continue to promote tennis and secure a prominent place for Pakistan on the global tennis map.
