\nProvincial Minister for Education Arshad Ayub Khan has said that ensuring the provision of quality education, improving the results of government schools, providing adequate facilities and equipping teachers with training compatible with modern educational requirements are among his top priorities.
\nHe said the entire education system will be fully digitized to enhance efficiency and transparency.
\nThe Minister stated that comprehensive reforms will be introduced in the examination system to eliminate rote learning and to implement SLO-based (Student Learning Outcomes) examinations. To achieve this, students from primary to eighth grade will be gradually prepared under the new learning approach. He said special focus will be given to teachers\u2019 training programs, utilizing the expertise and resources of DPD and DCTE for this purpose.
\nHe expressed these views while receiving a detailed briefing on the performance and initiatives of the Education Department and its subordinate bodies on Monday. The meeting was attended by Secretary Education Muhammad Khalid Khan, Special Secretaries Abdul Basit and Masood Khan, Managing Director Merged Areas Education Foundation Fareeha Pal, Managing Director Elementary & Secondary Education Foundation Qaiser Alam, MD PSRA Iftikhar Marwat, Chairman Textbook Board Abidullah Kakakhel, heads of all educational boards, Directors of Education and IT, and other senior officials of the department.
\nArshad Ayub Khan further stated that all public schools in the province will be provided with free textbooks and school bags, while new furniture will be supplied and existing furniture repaired to make it usable. He said the Directorate, Secretariat, and all attached institutions of the Education Department will be made fully digitized and paperless. The existing ban on posting and transfers will remain in place, and a digitized online system will soon be introduced to ensure merit and facilitate employees.
\nThe Minister emphasized that all available resources will be utilized to bring out-of-school children back into classrooms, with long-, medium and short-term plans being formulated for this purpose. Under Non-Formal Education, community schools and ALP (Accelerated Learning Program) centers will be established to provide quality education.
\nThe department\u2019s Foundation Virtual Learning Program will also be expanded to other districts, allowing students across the province to benefit from online classes.
\nRegarding budgetary matters, the Minister directed officials to identify priority projects and devise an action plan for the immediate release of funds. He said special attention will be given to girls\u2019 education by ensuring the provision of quality educational facilities for female students within their local areas. He also directed that the Education Department\u2019s Complaint Cell be made fully functional and that public awareness measures be strengthened.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
