\nPESHAWAR
\nA high-level meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Legislation was held at the Planning and Development (P&D) Department, chaired by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Aftab Alam Advocate. The meeting was attended by Minister for Local overnment and Rural Development, Meena Khan, along with senior officials from the Planning and Development Department.
\nThe meeting discussed in detail matters related to the regularization of employees from the merged districts and the inclusion of the Provincial Planning Services (PPS) Cadre in Schedule-I. A working paper was presented regarding the regularization status of employees from the erstwhile FATA who were regularized under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Regularization of Services of Employees of Erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas Act, 2021.
\nAccording to the working paper, 15 project employees of the P&D Department \u2014 totaling 226 individuals \u2014 have been regularized. Among them, 44 officers (BS-17 and above) are recommended for inclusion in the PPS Cadre, while 182 employees (BS-16 and below) are proposed to be included in the ministerial staff pool.
\nThe committee also reviewed matters pertaining to the inclusion of the PPS Cadre in Schedule-I and the regularization of ministerial staff.
\nFollowing approval from the concerned departments, the matter is being placed before the Cabinet Committee on Legislation to ensure compliance with the directives of the Peshawar High Court.
\nThe committee will thoroughly examine the recommendations submitted by the P&D Department regarding the inclusion of cadre posts from 15 regularized projects \u2014 including the Directorate of Projects and the Directorate of Monitoring and Evaluation in the erstwhile FATA Secretariat \u2014 into Schedule-I. The committee\u2019s final recommendations will be submitted to the provincial cabinet for approval in its upcoming meeting.
\nThis development marks a significant and far-reaching step by the Government of KP toward strengthening the PPS cadre and integrating employees from the merged districts into the provincial development institutions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
