\nJUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said the rulers want to treat the consensus 1973 constitution as a play thing.
\n\u201cEarlier amendment was made under the pressure of Gen (Retd) Bajwa. The impression is still there today that 27th constitutional amendment is being brought under pressure and the atmosphere is being drifted to intensity. Pakistan should bring change in its policies with neighboring countries. If targeting the hideouts of terrorists in Afghanistan is justified then it can become justification for India too. Contemptuous treatment is being meted out to deeni madaris and Ulema in federal government and particularly in Punjab.
\nThe rulers want to appease the western world by conducting operations against the deeni madaris. This methodology is not correct, he said this while talking to media men at his residence Thursday.
\nHe said the consensus constitution of the country should not be made a play or sport. Amendment is coming for the second time in a year. Former army chief Gen (Retd) Bajwa got made the amendment in the constitution under his supervision. Again the impression is there that it is being repeated at present as well. What amendments will be made under coercion then trust of people will stand where.
\nHe claimed one minister is working on this amendment since three months. It means this amendment is coming from somewhere else. He held what allegation is being leveled against Afghanistan today it was being leveled against Iran earlier.
\nWe want pro-Pakistan Afghanistan. If terrorists are in Pakistan then it is our internal matter. If attacks on hideouts in Afghanistan are correct then it will provide justification to Indian attacks on Muridke and Bahalpur . Problem is with Afghan government and Afghan refugees are being punished. We have held talks after war. Had we held talks earlier , it would have been better. We have no war with army chief , prime minister or bureaucracy. We want to defuse atmosphere of bitterness in the country. Why the policy of Gen Bajwa, Faiz Hamid and present rulers is the same with reference to Madaris. PML-N is insulting Ulema. It is not ready to accept advice and criticism of an Imam. It means they are not rulers.
\nHe remarked government should refrain from passing 27th constitutional amendment. This amendment will lead to divide the nation. He observed Israel has objection over sending Turkish forces in Gaza but it has no objection over sending Pakistani forces in Gaza. What is its reasons. What is its reason that Palestinians have not forgot the attitude of late Gen Zia ul Haq. One man is criminal of humanity and is roaming in all over the world. He underlined US president Trump while continuing to admire our Prime Minister and Field Marshall signed defence pact with India for 10 years. Where is our diplomacy. This impression is going that Gen Bajwa got legislation enacted under his supervision and he paved way for his extension in service this impression is being strengthened that powerful quarters are forcing the assemblies and such amendments are being made under coercion.
\nWe want a pro-Pakistan Afghanistan. What Pakistan says we supported you too much and we helped you. We helped Afghanistan not to make it our enemy but we helped it to make it our friend.
\nThen you are opening front upon front in your own country. You are fighting a separate war with armed bands and separate war with KP and a separate war with Balochistan. In Punjab you are harassing deeni madaris so much so that they ask from our ulemas what is their height. What is color of your eyes. Ulemas are sitting there to be insulted by them.
\nTell me Faiz Hameed was wrong, Bajwa was wrong, Musharraf was wrong. But why there is continuity in their policy for deeni madaris.
