\nChief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi has directed the Establishment & Administration Department and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission (KPPSC) to ensure the announcement of vacant posts of the Provincial Management Service (PMS) by January 2026. He instructed that groundwork for advertising the new posts be initiated immediately.
\nChairing a meeting on matters related to the KPPSC at the Chief Minister\u2019s House Peshawar, the Chief Minister also directed the initiation of digitisation of all processes and examinations conducted by the Commission. He said the provincial government, in line with Imran Khan\u2019s vision, is introducing reforms to promote merit, transparency, and digital governance.
\n\u201cThe effective use of modern technology and digitisation will ensure both efficiency and transparency, eliminating unnecessary human interference and the culture of favouritism,\u201d the Chief Minister stated. He added that the government will fulfil the requirements of the Public Service Commission on a priority basis for public convenience and enhance investment to further strengthen and expand its capacity.
\nSohail Afridi also directed that the recruitment process under the Commission be expedited and made entirely merit-based by adopting new policies. He further instructed an increase in the number of daily interviews conducted by the KPPSC.
\nThe meeting was briefed that from 2022 to October 2025, the KPPSC issued 25 advertisements for recruitment in various provincial departments, offering 6,917 posts. During this period, 434 ability tests and 17 competitive examinations were conducted, and recommendations were made for the recruitment of 6,286 candidates.
\nProvincial cabinet members Meena Khan Afridi, Aftab Alam, Muzammil Aslam, administrative secretaries of relevant departments, and the Chairman of the Public Service Commission also attended the meeting.
\nCM extends BRT service to Tedi Bazar and Bara Bazar
\nChief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi, has announced the extension of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service to Tedi Bazar (Jamraud) and Bara Bazar of District Khyber and said that the BRT in Peshawar is a gift of his leader, Imran Khan, to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
\nThe Chief Minister further said that the BRT provides an affordable and quality transport facility to the poor and middle class. \u201cTo reduce overcrowding in BRT buses, 50 new buses have been purchased, while another 50 will be added very soon,\u201d he stated, adding that the service will also be extended to other areas so that maximum people can benefit from it.
\nOn Sunday, the Chief Minister visited the BRT\u2019s University of Peshawar Station, where he interacted with citizens to gather feedback about the service. Accompanied by elected representatives and the Chief Secretary, he traveled by bus from the University of Peshawar Station to the Karkhano Station, engaging with passengers along the way. The passengers expressed delight over meeting the Chief Minister and took selfies with him.
\nSpeaking to the media later at Karkhano Station, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said that his purpose in traveling by BRT was to personally assess the service. \u201cI desired to experience the BRT journey personally, receive direct feedback from the people, and use that feedback to further improve the service,\u201d he remarked.
\nResponding to a question about the constitutional amendment, the Chief Minister said that the 27th Constitutional Amendment is against the spirit and essence of democracy. The government currently in power has only 17 seats. They neither have the people\u2019s mandate nor the authority to amend the Constitution,\u201d he asserted.
\nIn response to another question, the Chief Minister announced that Peace Jirga will be held on November 12 to find a permanent solution for peace and the elimination of terrorism.
\nParliamentarians, former lawmakers, and leaders of political parties will be invited to the jirga to chalk out a path toward permanent peace and stability,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
