\nProvincial Minister for Relief and Rehabilitation, Mr. Aqibullah Khan, paid an official visit to the Rescue 1122 Headquarters, Peshawar, where he was warmly received by Secretary Relief Mr. Yousaf Rahim, Director General Rescue 1122 Mr. Tayyab Abdullah, and senior officials of the department. Upon arrival, the Minister was presented with a bouquet of flowers, and a smartly turned-out contingent of Rescue 1122 personnel offered a salute in his honour.
\nThe visit began with the Minister paying homage at the Martyrs\u2019 Monument, where he offered tributes to the sacrifices of Rescue 1122\u2019s heroes. Later, he inspected the Provincial Monitoring Cell, where he was given a detailed briefing on the province-wide monitoring system and the operational status of Rescue 1122 stations through live cameras and digital maps.
\nMr. Aqibullah Khan also visited various display stalls showcasing modern equipment used in emergency operations, ambulances, and specialized rescue tools. Rescue personnel demonstrated practical exercises related to rescue operations and medical emergency services. The Director General, in the presence of the Secretary Relief, briefed the Minister on the overall performance, ongoing projects, achievements, and challenges faced by Rescue 1122.
\nThe Minister appreciated the professional competence, discipline, and public service spirit of Rescue 1122 personnel, terming the organization a source of pride for the province. He emphasized the importance of ensuring the welfare and comfort of employees so that emergency services could be delivered more efficiently and effectively.
\nHighlighting his reform agenda, Mr. Aqibullah Khan announced the introduction of \u201cBAWAR\u201d \u2014 a public feedback-based reform initiative aimed at promoting transparency and merit in recruitment, improving institutional performance through independent public opinion and consultation, eliminating recommendation culture, and developing policy recommendations for staff welfare and organizational efficiency.<\/p>\n
He also directed that monthly performance reports of district emergency officers be presented regularly to ensure Rescue 1122 remains a transparent, responsive, and high-standard public service institution.
\nThe Minister reaffirmed that Rescue 1122 is a vital arm of the provincial government, and its resources and capabilities will be further enhanced to meet modern-day emergency response needs.
\nHe further stated that his office doors are always open for Rescue 1122 personnel to share their valuable suggestions, feedback, and grievances aimed at constructive improvement, assuring that all such inputs will be welcomed to strengthen the institution\u2019s performance and service delivery.
\nAt the conclusion of the visit, Mr. Aqibullah Khan paid rich tribute to the dedication and courage of Rescue 1122 staff, calling them the true protectors of the people who risk their lives to save others.
