Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Wednesday met with the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Tajikistan Aziz Giyozoda, at the Parliament House.
\nDuring the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on bilateral relations, parliamentary cooperation, and matters of mutual interest across various sectors.
\nAyaz Sadiq said that Pakistan and Tajikistan enjoy historical, religious and cultural ties that form a strong foundation of brotherhood and mutual respect.
\nHe said that Pakistan regards Tajikistan as a close and brotherly Islamic country and places high value on its friendship with the Central Asian Republics.
\nThe Speaker emphasized that by strengthening parliamentary linkages, both countries can elevate mutual trust and cooperation to new heights.
\nHe also highlighted the importance of enhancing cultural, educational, and trade cooperation to promote prosperity and understanding between the two nations.
\n\u201cPakistan is the second home for the people of Tajikistan,\u201d said the Speaker, noting Tajikistan\u2019s resilience and sacrifices in overcoming the challenges of prolonged conflict.
\nHe reaffirmed Pakistan\u2019s commitment to promoting regional stability and strengthening cooperative frameworks for peace and development.
\nBoth leaders agreed to continue joint efforts for ensuring peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
\nOn the occasion, Aziz Giyozoda, appreciated Pakistan\u2019s commitment to regional harmony and expressed his country\u2019s desire to further deepen bilateral and parliamentary relations.
