These remarks were made by Advisor to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government on Finance, Muzzammil Aslam, in a statement issued from his office yesterday.<br \/>\nMuzzammil Aslam said that treatment for fatal and expensive diseases is carried out through the Sehat Card reserve funds, and from July to October, Rs. 135.3 million were spent on cardiology services from these funds.<br \/>\nThe Finance Advisor said that Rs. 31.4 million from the reserve funds were used for cancer treatment, while Rs. 80.6 million were spent on liver transplants.<br \/>\nHe further said that from July to October, Rs. 88 million were spent on kidney transplants through the Sehat Card reserve funds, and during these four months, Rs. 165.5 million were spent on cochlear implants.<br \/>\nThe Advisor added that Rs. 1.3 million were spent from the Sehat Card reserve funds on ICU, dialysis, and other diseases, while in the previous fiscal year, Rs. 824.4 million from the reserve funds had also been utilized.<br \/>\nMuzzammil Aslam stated that this year, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Department has already released Rs. 9.65 billion for the Sehat Card, which is separate from the reserve
