They accused the local administration and the Public Works Department of using poor-quality material in the macadamization of a vital link road, thereby endangering public safety.<br \/>\nProtesters said that despite repeated complaints, no proper inspection had been carried out by higher authorities, allowing the substandard work to continue unchecked.
