\nSarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry has accelerated efforts to boost the bilateral trade and economic relations between Pakistan and China and expressed willingness to become a mutual partner in Chinese Commodity City.
\nThe mutual trade, economic and cultural as well as political relations always remained exemplary, which had no precedent anywhere in the world, says President SCCI Junaid Altaf while speaking during visit of Ms Hu Zhuling, President and Ms Yang Lina and Mr Ali, Directors of the Hunan Chamber of Commerce (HCC) here at the chamber house, said in a press release here on Wednesday.
\nMeeting was attended by SCCI Senior Vice President Muhammad Nadeem, former SVPs Abdul Jalil Jan and Imran Khan Mohmand, members of the chamber\u2019s executive committee Ziaul Haq Sarhadi, Adnan Nasir, Ashfaq Ahmad, Aftab Iqbal and Ashfaq Ahmad, and WCCIP President Qurtual Ain, SVP Zara Imtiaz, VP Zareen Akhtar, and Faiz Rasool, Rashid Iqbal Siddiqui, Ihsanullah, Fahad Ameen, Fazl e Wahid, Saddar Gul, Ishtiq Ahmad and Hamoodur Rehman and SCCI\u2019 Secretary General Muqtasid Ahsan and others.
\nThe chamber president warmly welcomed the Chinese delegation and appreciated the Hunan Federation of Industry and Commerce for willingness to collaborate with SCCI.
\nHe called the Chinese Commodity City, which is a large-scale, all-encompassing Chinese market complex in Lahore similar to a dedicated \u201cChinatown\u201d for general trade, would become a catalyst to strengthen the mutual trade and economic relations between the two countries.
\nSCCI wants to launch joint ventures with the Hunan Chamber of Commerce as KP has great potential in diverse sectors to expand the mutual trade with China, says President Junaid Altaf and assured the visiting delegation of full cooperation to attract KP investment in the Chinese Commodity City project.
\nRecounting waste investment opportunities in rich natural resources, like mine, mineral, oil, gas gems, jewelry, Pharma, Honey, horticulture, halal meat, and other important sectors, the chamber president invited the Chinese companies to make investment in KP\u2019 potentials and Special Economic Zones (SEZs) to improve mutual trade relations.
\nPresident Junaid Altaf called for allocation for specific land in the Chinese Commodity City for KP so that it will be highly beneficial for local investors to display their products in a befitting manner.
\nThe SCCI chief said the chamber, in assistance with government and relevant institutions, is making vigorous efforts to provide an enabling environment for foreign investment in KP, however, he asserted peace is imperative for flourishing trade and commercial activities.
\nEarlier, Ms Hu Zhuling and Yang Lina explained the main objective behind the Chinese Commodity City, stating that the city would expand on more than 18,000 square kilometer, and is likely to be completed by next year.
\nThe Chinese Commodity city will be a hub for displaying locally manufacturing products like agriculture, agri-machines, construction, electricity tools\/gadgets, and normal life commodities, Ms Zhuling added.
\nShe claimed the city, which is a totally wholesale base, would help to ease difficulties of investors, fast movement of industrial goods consignments, swift services providers and invited the SCCI and KP industries to become partners in this crucial project and to expand business and industries through mutual collaboration and joint ventures.
\nIn order to formalize and expand cooperation, a Memorandum of Understanding was also signed on the occasion between SCCI and Hunan Chamber of Commerce, aiming at to work jointly for promotion of mutual trade relations, products marketing, taking benefits from common experiences, benefits, objectives, as well as CSR and other various interventions.
\nOn the occasion, President Junaid Altaf suggested appointment of a focal person for coordination and liaison, and establishment of a special help desk at SCCI house for guidance and awareness among the chamber\u2019 members regarding Chinese Commodity City. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
