\nDirector of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Procurement Authority (KPPRA), Sajjad Ali Shah, has said that the E-PADS software, developed with the support of the World Bank, will enhance transparency in the procurement of goods and the awarding of contracts in government departments and institutions, while also improving the efficiency and capacity of officers.
\nHe expressed these views while addressing a training workshop at the University of Chitral, organized for officers of Upper and Lower Chitral districts. The workshop was arranged in collaboration with the World Bank\u2013supported KP-SPEED Project to provide orientation on the E-PADS software and KPPRA rules.
\nOfficers from the departments of C&W, Irrigation, Local Government, Health, Higher Education, Public Health Engineering, Livestock, Elementary Education, Food, Fisheries, Sports, and the University of Chitral are participating in this three-day workshop. The objective of the workshop is to provide awareness regarding the KPPRA Act, rules, the software, and its procedures and regulations.
\nDirector Sajjad Ali Shah, while briefing participants on the aims and objectives of the workshop, said that officers from various provincial departments will gain a better understanding of KPPRA rules and regulations. They will also be trained in the use of the newly launched software, which will help enhance transparency in procurement processes and improve officers\u2019 performance across government institutions.
\nParticipating officers thanked KPPRA for organizing the workshop, calling it a positive and beneficial initiative. They noted that the introduction of the software will not only simplify procurement procedures but also ensure greater transparency in purchasing within government departments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
