Earlier, the DMO had issued a notice to Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi, directing him to submit an explanation regarding the code-of-conduct violation. Upon the request of the Chief Minister\u2019s lawyer, the hearing was adjourned and he has now been instructed to appear on 28 November. Similarly, Tehsil Chairman Samiullah Khan appeared before the DMO at 10 a.m. for attending a political rally of PML-N candidate Babar Nawaz Khan. The District Monitoring Officer imposed a fine of Rs. 50,000, directing him to deposit it in the government treasury and submit the challan by 27 November. Former Deputy Speaker National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi has also been summoned to appear today at 2 p.m., while PML-N candidate Babar Nawaz Khan has been directed to appear at 4 p.m. to present their explanations. The Provincial Election Commissioner Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has stated that strict and immediate action will be taken against any violation of the Code of Conduct during the by-election.
