\nIn another instance of land confiscation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), authorities under Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha have attached ancestral land of Mubashir Ahmad in Tral, Pulwama district, according to Kashmir Media Service.
\nPolice, acting on LG Sinha\u2019s orders, seized four marlas of Ahmad\u2019s land in Syedabad Pastuna, citing alleged involvement in \u201cpro-freedom activities,\u201d a justification frequently used to appropriate Kashmiri properties. A notice placed on the land prohibited its sale, lease, or transfer to any third party.
\nSince the revocation of IIOJK\u2019s special status in August 2019, the administration has intensified such actions, confiscating hundreds of homes, lands, and businesses.
