\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly that met with Speaker Babar Salim Swati here Monday demanded probe of attack on the house of Member Provincial Assembly Anwar Zeb Khan in Bajaur tribal district.
\nIn Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly session, the attack on the house of former provincial minister and MPA Anwar Zeb became the center of discussion, raising serious questions about the overall law-and order situation.
\nBoth government and opposition members termed the incident as an attack on the representatives of the entire house, demanding a thorough investigation, formation of a security mechanism, and that the matter be referred to the relevant committee.
\nDuring the debate on law and order, government member Dr. Amjad Ali said that on November 28 there was an attack on the house of former minister and MPA Anwar Zeb, in which one employee was severely injured and is under treatment, and the house suffered damage.
\nDespite the Grand Peace Jirga held in the Assembly, such attacks continue to occur in the province. \u201cWe strongly condemn this. If the matter is sent to the Home and Tribal Affairs Committee, we believe this was not just an attack on Anwar Zeb\u2019s house but on the representatives of the entire Assembly.\u201d
\nANP member Arbab Usman said that a mechanism should be developed for the protection of public representatives.
\nMPA Ajmal Khan said Anwar Zeb is an honorable member of the house and we condemn the attack on his residence. A full investigation should be conducted, and the matter should be sent to the committee.
\nThe Speaker said that the house has already formed a security committee under which the Peace Jirga was also held something unprecedented in the province.
\nThe committee will summon the IG and CTD officials, after which a briefing will also be taken from the Corps Commander.
\nAll issues will be discussed in this committee as previously, the homes of other members have also been attacked and that we cannot be intimidated by these attacks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
