\nDistrict Police Officer (DPO) Khyber Waqar Ahmed has appreciated the outstanding and professional performance of the officers and personnel of Melward Police for the timely recovery of a stolen motor car and the arrest of the accused along with weapons.
\nIn recognition of their efforts, the DPO awarded commendation certificates to the officers involved.
\nDPO Khyber said that the swift recovery of the motor car and the successful arrest of the accused with weapons clearly reflect the professionalism, efficiency and high performance of the police force.
\nHe emphasized that encouragement and recognition of such dedicated officers and personnel would continue in the future.
\nHe further stated that a strict system of reward and punishment is being implemented within the police department, which is contributing to further improvement and enhancement of the performance of hardworking and capable officers and personnel.
\nDuring a surprise visit to Melward Police Station, the DPO conducted a detailed inspection of various departments, including the investigation wing, sentry duty and other police staff.
\nHe reviewed the security arrangements, cleanliness and sanitation conditions, as well as police station records. Expressing dissatisfaction over the poor cleanliness arrangements, he directed the concerned staff to take immediate corrective measures.
\nOn the occasion, Station House Officer (SHO) Melward, Sher Haider, briefed the DPO on the overall situation of the police station, including pending and ongoing cases, security measures and the performance of different sections.
\nAfter the briefing, the DPO stressed that accuracy and transparency of police records must be ensured at all costs, while security measures should be made more effective and better coordinated.
\nLater, DPO Waqar Ahmed directed the police officials to intensify indiscriminate action against aerial firing, take strict measures against unregistered motorcycles and further strengthen anti-drug operations to ensure better and timely police services for the public.
\nThe DPO also visited the Spen Qab post of Melward Police Station, where he met the officers on duty.
