\nDiscriminatory actions against the Muslim community in India have intensified, raising serious concerns over selective law enforcement and growing Islamophobia under the Modi-led government.
\nAccording to Kashmir Media Service, authorities in Himachal Pradesh have begun demolishing the upper floors of Sanjauli Masjid in Shimla after official approval of the budget.
\nTwo floors of the mosque had already been demolished earlier. Mohammad Latif, president of the mosque committee, said the move has caused deep pain among local Muslims, who feel they are being deliberately singled out despite their religious sentiments.
\nSimilar incidents have been reported in Uttarakhand, where the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority sealed the first and second floors of a mosque in Kandogal village, citing lack of registration and construction approval.
\nLocal residents argued that numerous other illegal structures remain untouched, while mosques are being selectively targeted, creating fear and insecurity within the Muslim community.
