\nA formal agreement was signed on Tuesday between the Primary Health Care Reforms Project (PHCRP) of the Health Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Greenstar Social Marketing Pakistan (GSM).
\nAccording to a spokesperson for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department, the objective of this agreement is to strengthen primary health care services in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through a strategic public\u2013private partnership.
\nThis agreement is an important step toward addressing the shortage of human resources staff, improving the quality of service delivery, and enhancing access to quality health care through support to basic health units across the province.
\nUnder this collaboration, Greenstar Social Marketing Pakistan will assist the Health Department in deploying trained medical staff at selected health facilities identified under the primary health care reforms project and in improving service delivery.
\nThe signing ceremony was held at the Health Secretariat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The agreement was signed by Dr. Syed Aziz-ur-Rab, Chief Executive Officer of Greenstar Social Marketing Pakistan, and Dr. Ikramullah Khan, Project Director of the Primary Health Care Reforms Project.
\nThe event was attended by the Provincial Minister for Health, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mian Khaliq ur Rehman, and the Secretary of Health, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shahidullah Khan.
\nSenior management of Greenstar Social Marketing Pakistan and senior officials of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department were also present.
